    Biography of Phillip Harris

    Phillip Charles Harris was born on December 19, , in the small town of Bothell, Washington.

    He began fishing at the age of 8, accompanying his father, and later pursued crab fishing after completing high school. Initially, he worked for free until he proved that he was indispensable. By the time Harris turned 21, he was one of the youngest captains of crab fishing vessels in the Bering Sea.

    By the age of 30, Phillip became the captain and co-owner of the "Cornelia Marie."
